Position Description:

We are Bildworx Design, a growing engineering firm located in the Fort Lauderdale area, and we’re looking to add an outstanding Mechanical Engineer, P.E. to our team. Our services include MEP Engineering Design, Technology Systems Design, and Specialty Lighting Design. We are working on a wide range of projects from commercial, aviation, institutional, to residential. We’re keeping busy and would love to have another motivated team player join us on this adventure.

The ideal candidate will have a great attitude, value responsibility and accountability, think positively, and identify solutions while playing an exciting part in a growing business. We work hard but our hours are flexible.

Some things you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the design for various construction projects with a strong knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts.

• Designing HVAC systems, including equipment specification and selection.

• Performing thermal load and energy calculations as required.

• Performing project site visits, documenting existing conditions, and attending client meetings if needed.

• Complying with all authorities and staying current on all applicable code requirements.

Minimum qualifications:

​

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• P.E. license required for the state of Florida.

• 7+ years of experience.

• AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.

• Professional, positive, solution-driven, willing to learn.

• Strong desire to produce quality work and meet project deadlines.

• Excellent client-facing skills, including communication and follow-through.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Additional preferred qualifications:

​

• Plumbing system design.

• Fire protection system design.
